Positive: They were staying at the Koala Lodge. My parents stayed for a month and it was lovely having them here. However, I noticed several things that really need attention. The TV remote batteries were completely flat, so it couldn’t be used, and there was no access to Netflix, which made it difficult to watch something together in the evenings. The couch was also quite uncomfortable and in poor condition. I realised how bad it was when, as I sat down, I hit my elbow on the wooden board that is supposed to be the armrest. On top of that, the fridge had to be kept on the highest setting to work properly, but it ended up freezing everything. I tried lowering the power level, but it didn’t help much—when we got home in the evening, there was water on the floor and even more water inside the fridge. In my opinion, it probably needs to be replaced. With a one-month booking, I had expected either a cleaning service included (which I understand isn’t always possible) or at least a change of bed linens in the wardrobe, so that we could enjoy the holiday instead of having to stay home to wash the sheets. Outside, the situation wasn’t much better. The BBQ is in bad shape and definitely needs to be fixed, and the veranda clearly needs some maintenance as well. They may seem like small details, but all together they made the stay a bit less comfortable than I had hoped. Negative: They were staying at the Koala Lodge. The iron was dirty, it marked my blouse with a mark that won't wash out. The outdoor furniture was rusty to the point it was unusable. The stairs into the property are unsafe
