Emu at White Gum Lodge near Fremantle

A pleasant 2 night stay at Emu. Positive: I liked that the unit was quite compact. Easy to get around. A tv that I could use subtitles on. Kitchen with enough utensils. Small refrigerator with milk supplied. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk supplied. Toaster, kettle, electric frypan and microwave. Enough kitchen ware to do your own cooking. Bathroom with toilet, hand basin and walk in shower. Taps in shower were great. 2 taps...hot and cold none of these mixer taps or strange dials to turn to turn water on and of. Good pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Negative: No Keys but a door code which I found difficult to access. once I got the code I was able to access unit. There are some wooden steps which are a bit wonky. I'm not 100% stable when going up or down any steps.

Negative: Because I hadn't received the pin number in advance, I was made to wait 20 minutes in front of the door. I couldn't cook because I didn't know how to use the electric stove.

Positive: Close to the city and very affordable Negative: Tv didn't work very well

Home away from home Positive: Great location, everything you need for a great stay, clean and comfortable

A pleasant enough stay but would not book again Positive: Lovely and quiet location Negative: Unit is one of four in an older renovated home. The hot water system seems to be shared by all units, so sometimes there was no hot water for a shower until later in the day. The walls between the units are basic - could clearly hear the visitors next door moving around and talking. The sofa provided is not very comfortable at all. The pillows provided were very soft, but the bed was lovely and comfortable.
