Cottesloe Seaside Bliss

I wish that I had chosen a different provider to find a property in Cottesloe. Positive: The location. Negative: Totally impersonal interface between hirer and customer. I booked the property eleven months in advance and paid the full amount upfront. I was going to have the entry code and checking-in details withheld because, in addition, the property wanted a security deposit in advance of entry. They had already had our money for eleven months! SmartstayWA Team boast that they provide a seamless booking system. They fail to mention that the flat is on the top floor (three flights of steps). We had two large suitcases as we were travelling for a month. The lights in the flat were dingy and the sun doesn’t come into the flat at all. There are mops in the bathroom and some of the fittings have seen better days. Everything about the hiring process is a threat. Don’t do this or you will be fined. I saw three friends in Perth, (aged 70) but they couldn’t come to the flat because you can only have a maximum of two guests! My advice would be to stay in the CBD area and catch the train out to Cottesloe. Or even better, go to New Zealand where you are greeted by the owners and given a warm welcome. Being unfriendly is clearly cool if you work for SmartstayWA!

Very nice place to stay. As described. Positive: Great location. Beautiful view. Everything you need for a sale-contained stay. Negative: No lighting to the stairs at the rear of the building - be very careful! The SMS messages you get from a US phone number when you book (booking is handled by a third party), which initially made me wonder if I was being scammed.

Loved location and view ❤️ Positive: Location and view perfect, exactly what I was after!! Kitchen was well appointed and had everything I needed, and clean Loved that Netflix and other channels available Negative: Main wardrobe could have been a bit cleaner. Plenty of hangers which was good but there was a lot of other stuff in there which could have been a bit tidier and a couple of used earbuds on the floor. Appreciate the sea location is challenging but the balcony windows needed cleaning. Not a big deal just would have been nice to be clean. Also one of the dining chairs has a loose wobbly leg so nearly fell off the chair when moving

Nice place to stay and fabulous location Positive: Location Negative: Steps, would have liked to know about this before choosing this property. But everything else was good, price a tad high but ok.
