Civic Gardens Villa

Mostly a good stay. Positive: Clean and comfortable, well appointed kitchen... everything we needed. Beds and pillows comfortable. Shower great. Washing machine and dryer worked well. Negative: The unit was in a flight path and we were woken at 5am most mornings and couldn't get back to sleep as the noise of planes landing and taking off was ongoing for hours. One of our group said the tap over the sink in the main bathroom was just a trickle ... didn't turn on fully. No water from the laundry taps although the washing machine worked well.

Positive: It's near a mall (less than 8 minutes drive). Rooms are spacious. Negative: The place didn't look bright and clean, as shown in the photos. We saw spider web hanging on the ceiling near the microwave. The floor was dirty as my white socks turned black after walking on the floor. The heating system is poor as there are only 2 heaters - 1 in the living room, which sometimes blows cold air, even though it was set to heat mode and 1 in the master bedroom near the entrance door. The heater in the living room only managed to warm the living room and kitchen area but not the 2 bedrooms near it, making the rooms very cold to sleep on cold and rainy winter nights. Also, we could hear the planes flying to and from the airport. There was a A$300 security deposit collected a few days before check-in and would only be returned 7 to 10 days after check out. This security deposit was not stated in the booking. The other 2 properties that I stayed for this trip didn't collect such security deposits. This property was clearly not prepared for our stay with the dirty floor and spider web hanging on the kitchen ceiling and still asked for a security deposit. When we contacted the property after check-in (around 4 pm) to request for 2 portable heaters for the 2 bedrooms, we only got the reply next day morning, telling us to use the heating system (which are the 2 heaters cum air-conditioners in the house).

Perfect Villa to stay. Absolute recommend for group or family travel. Positive: Going off Booking.com, felt like an Air B&B (never used B&B). Instructions upon arrival and gain entry were clear, detailed with pictures. Upon entry we were greeted with an amazingly clean house. All rooms clean and presentable to a high hotel standard. everything you need as a family on holiday, this would be a 10/10 recommended place of stay. location was perfect. walking distance from Carousel shopping centre. Negative: Garage parking not recommended for tray back utes. unable to close roller door. Otherwise perfect place to stay.

Positive: Location and ease. Negative: All good, backyard could be cleaned better including the table and chairs outside.

It’s very comfortable! Recommended! Positive: Spacious and clean, fantastic! Kitchen essentials were thoughtfully provided, along with all the necessary utensils. It made our short trip so much more convenient since we didn’t have to worry about bringing or buying these basics. Highly recommend! Negative: Lack of a bidet cause we hardly clean ups for a toddler.
